Facebook: Although technically paper is recyclable, few people know that shredded paper CANNOT be recycled. If you put shredded paper in your recycling bin, it will almost certainly end up in a landfill. The reason: Recycling sorting centers (aka Materials Recovery Facilities or MRFs) don’t recognize shredded paper as paper, so it gets diverted as non-recyclable and sent to the landfill. The one exception: Professional shredding services are the only industry equipped to recycle shredded paper. #Recycling #Paper #BottledWater #IfInDoubtThrowItOut #EndContamination
